Si View Administration Building – in design
Si View administration has outgrown the caretaker's cottage located at Si View Park. Moving administration to a property across the street, between Orchard Drive SE and Cedar Falls Way, will make way for expanded programming space adjacent to the community center. This project is now in design, with construction slated for 2024.
Tollgate Farmstead – Under Construction
Tollgate Farmstead infrastructure improvements to support agricultural programming have been
completed including a new barn and a public access point with a parking area near the Farmhouse.
The final finishing touches with cabinetry and appliances for the Farmhouse kitchen are
slated for later in 2024. Programs are now scheduled on this site, the Farmhouse will open when final work has been completed.
Together with partners, additional grant funding has been secured from King County Parks Levy Open Space Grant Program for the WWRP Trails Grant Program for a later phase connecting Tennant Trailhead to the Raging River Trail system. The trailhead facilities and parking are funded by King County Parks and scheduled for completion in 2024.
More about Tennant Trailhead Park
North Bend Connector Trail – in design
Washington State DNR, in partnership with Si View Metropolitan Park District and Evergreen Mountain
Bike Alliance, is improving the local trail system with a 5.65 mile pedestrian and mountain biking
trail, linking Tennant Trailhead Park in the City of North Bend to Snoqualmie Point Park, Raging
River State Forest and Rattlesnake Mountain Scenic Area. This project is designed to provide a
high-quality user experience with a natural surface trail that accommodates two-way use by both
mountain bikers and hikers. This project has received funding support from King County Parks Levy
Capital and Open Space Program grant, and the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program State Lands
Development grant. This project is currently in design, with construction planned for 2024-2026.
Si View Park North Entrance – Construction in 2025
We are working to improve connectivity, aesthetics and pedestrian safety between Si View Park and William Henry Taylor Park by realigning the North entrance area of Si View Park. Removing the old "King County shed" and constructing a new maintenance building on the opposite side of the entrance will provide much needed space for District equipment to maintain the growing parks inventory and enhance the overall visitor experience when entering the park. This project is funded through the 2018 Capital Bond and our Capital Projects Fund with initial work launching in late 2021 and maintenance building construction in 2024. Temporary closures of the North entrance may be necessary during construction.
Edgewick Trail Connection – In Design
This non-motorized trail creates a connection from the Edgewick neighborhood near North Bend to the regional Snoqualmie Valley Trail near Rattlesnake Lake. The 0.3 mile forested trail improves recreation access for local residents. The District acquired this parcel for open space preservation with funding from the 2018 capital bond and the Conservation Futures grant program (CFT). Project construction funding is supported by a grant from the King County Parks Capital and Open Space Grant program.
